Travel Fun Series -
"Paper Map Adventure" - Traveling with Map
After the single-day paper map travel,
it seems like we're addicted to using maps. Let's embark on a paper map adventure!
Unfold the big map,
and let fate "draw" the destination for us.
Use a compass to confirm the direction, and hop on public transportation that we searched for ourselves.
When we don't use map apps, we'll discover more local features!
Let's pack our bags and set off together!
Over the course of five days,
we'll visit the top children's travel destinations in northern Taiwan.
We'll travel east, south, west, and north to explore everything!
● City Backpacking Trip:
The corners of the city hide many overlooked art installations.
Have you heard about the zebra's butt at the intersection?
Parks are not just for playgrounds, and museums are not just for interactive exhibits.
There are also mysterious landscape art installations waiting to be discovered with a map relay.
How many can we find in a day?
● Old Places Backpacking Tour:
Which is the original shop of Jin Niou Jiao?
Is the facade of the oldest store the most antique-looking?
The hundred-year-old station still retains the fun of Japanese architecture.
Can we find the designated location or shop on the busy streets with a street map?
● Mountain and Sea Backpacking Adventure:
The mountains surround northern Taiwan, and a good weather day calls for a challenge.
Will we be trekking across the wilderness?
At times, map apps will not work!
The ocean is beautiful along the northern coast, and we must play in the waves.
Wait, we also need to find the secret spots... that won't be easy!
DAY1 - Urban Scavenger Hunt for Special Landmarks
DAY2 - Brave the Wilderness for a Small Adventure
DAY3 - Search for Nostalgic Old Streets and Stations
DAY4 - Harbor, Mountain, and Sea Adventure in Keelung
DAY5 - Relaxing Journey along the Northern Coast
Explore to the fullest for five days with 18 selected administrative districts in northern Taiwan. Let's travel up mountains and down to the sea with paper maps! Next time, let the kids take their parents out for a trip!

Travel X Paper Maps X Fun
Let's go on an adventure together.
Adventure Power
Filled with unknown challenges, Conquering mountains and seas, Happy wherever we go! |
Map Power
Do you enjoy looking at task-oriented maps and exploring everywhere? Then, that's perfect for you! |
Travel Power
Do you enjoy taking the subway or bus and traveling far away? Let's explore together! |
●Escape the constraints of schedules and classrooms and experience a child's travel life-
There is a kind of life that does not have too many limited arrangements but can provide unlimited experiences for exploration. There is a kind of travel that is not limited by too many restrictions, and sometimes it unexpectedly opens up new horizons, discovering private spots, and exploring more and more small secrets in the same location. Our travel does not have a tight itinerary, and we will give children the freedom to play while relaxing and promoting interpersonal cooperation through play and itinerary discussions. Travel and life allow children to create their own memories! ●No Learning Sheets - If we give them learning sheets, they will focus on finding answers and not pay attention to other things. ●Collaborative Travel - Collaborative learning refers to "learning together," that is, individuals and others interact and exchange their traits and ideas with each other, and eventually, they will feedback to themselves. Many times, children learn more from each other than directly from adults! ●Encouraging Self-Initiative - Encouraging children to complete tasks such as looking up maps, train and bus schedules, interpersonal communication, self-care, and team assignment of tasks will guide them in handling things in an appropriate manner. |
1.Gather in the city center and draw the location for our travel!
We will gather at the National Taiwan University Hospital Station, which has many subway and bus stops.
For five days, children will decide on the theme and location of our travel by drawing them randomly!
The travel locations will provide hints based on their characteristics, including the name of the attraction, address, nearby landmarks, etc.

How many landmarks can the children visit in a given time? We will also incorporate park and museum activities, allowing children to plan their travel time on their own. |

Will we be sent to the city to find mysterious old houses or landmarks on the mountain, or will we go to the beach to find rocks that look like paint-bombs? The most enjoyable part is finding a comfortable place to watch the sea! |
DAY5-Relaxing Backpack Trip

2.Teach children how to use maps to travel and explore designated places!
Depending on the location they draw, we will provide them with a map of that administrative district. We will teach them how to find streets, alleys, transportation methods, how to use the compass tool, and what kind of people to ask for directions to reduce the chances of getting lost...etc. We will let the children become familiar with how to use maps to travel. If children already have rich travel experience, they can also complete the first landmark without the help.

3.Draw the next destination and try to travel as a group After completing the first destination
we will draw another destination on the spot and challenge the children to work together to plan their travel itinerary. If there is enough time, we can draw a third destination. As the end of the day approaches, we will prepare to return to the pick-up location.
